Our Team
Working together was the foundation for the creation of Ola Ka Honua: Volcanoes Alive. The creation of Teacher’s Manuals in the English and Hawaiian languages and the development of the comprehensive, multimedia, interactive Ola Ka Honua: Volcanoes Alive DVD would not have been possible without the strong commitment and kokua of all Ola Ka Honua partners: the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute; the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory; National Park Service, Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park; and ALU LIKE, Inc.
Equally important is the counsel provided by the Hawai`i State Department of Education; the teachers who field-tested the material as it was being developed; the exceptional artwork provided by renowned Hawaiian Artist Herb Kawainui Kane; and the video, audio, and illustrations provided by the Bishop Museum, the State Museum of Cultural and Natural History.
